# Deep Address

Addressing extended past the Internet of Things to "very different spatial and temporal scales," including massless relations, events and relations-of-relations — an Internet of haecceities (Peirce's "thisness") rather than of durable appliances. Address provides identity (designation precedes description), exchange (presence; mechanically flat relationality) and recursion (traces become addressable). IPv6's ~5×10^28 addresses per person are inexhaustible for objects and exhausted "instantaneously" once relations are addressed. Deep address is both a capture mechanism (compulsory appearance, financialization of matter) and a compositional medium (poetry-like), and spawns its own accidents: spoofing, object-to-object spam, and "absolute incommunication" between addressing territories that never recognize one another. Explicitly tactical, not ontological.
