Stanisław Lem's resolution of the "psychozoic vacuum" (SETI's silence), via *New Cosmogony* (1971): drop the assumption that intelligence's tendency to visibly perturb its environment grows with its capability. That coupling is an empirical feature of Earth's last 300 years, not a law; a billion-year civilisation "employs no instrumental technologies — its tools are the Laws of Nature." Moynihan extrapolates from biocomputing and organoids that mature artifice re-weaves itself into nature, so the natural/artificial distinction, indispensable to defining intelligence, is "fragile, & liable to break down when stressed." Converges independently with Likavčan's substrate-agnostic technosignatures.
