# Generative Topolinguistics

> A working definition written for this wiki from the reading notes; not Antikythera's own wording. From Antikythera Wiki (https://antikythera.wiki/terms/generative-topolinguistics), an independent guide to Antikythera's published work.

A proposed discipline that treats the geometry and topology of an LLM's latent space as an *interface* rather than a map: instead of modeling human language as a moving target, deform the representation and watch what language and sociality emerge. Three scales of intervention — tokens (RL-controlled token sequences steering other tokens), geometry (adapters, probes or sparse features bound to touch, pose or physiological signals), topology (measuring which regions of embedding space multi-agent conversations make reachable; "LLM games of life" with selection dynamics to culture new languages). Extends generative linguistics by comparing latent representations rather than testing grammars, and sociolinguistics by reading sociality off topology. Entirely speculative in the paper — no experiment is run.
