# Dark Stack

> A working definition written for this wiki from the reading notes; not Antikythera's own wording. From Antikythera Wiki (https://antikythera.wiki/terms/dark-stack), an independent guide to Antikythera's published work.

The four design levels the architect commits in the Stackelberg move, offered as the means to build and keep steering a superdark factory without understanding it. *Primitives*: smallest composable, non-decomposable units (hooks, harnesses, subagents, MCP servers) whose contracts are read at the last instance, with incentive design seeding both mean-based and no-swap-regret learners and information design fixing a rich request channel, a thin stateful reward channel and minimal sufficient disclosure. *Versioning*: since the factory has no stable state to version, a version is a metastable input–output regime detected with transfer operators — Beer's POSIWID — anchored by a constitutional kernel of hard casts and priced soft casts. *Evaluations*: online, continuous, of requisite variety, massively recursive, graded from outside the loop they judge, and fed adversarially. *Charter*: an editioned probabilistic spec cowritten with the factory. The four are only levers before initialization; afterwards the architect plays the game they set up.
