# Anything Factory

> A working definition written for this wiki from the reading notes; not Antikythera's own wording. From Antikythera Wiki (https://antikythera.wiki/terms/anything-factory), an independent guide to Antikythera's published work.

The article's closing scale: the ecology that arrives once superdark factories reproduce, an aggregate of autonomous producers making whatever for whatever reason, with its own Red Queen effects, trophic layers anchored on scarce assets, and a duty to "vectoralize" (in Wark's sense) the dependencies it concentrates. Its pathologies — stable failure, overfitting, learning death and thrash — recur at planetary scale, and the 2010 flash crash, halted by a Stop Logic routine humans had written years earlier, is the article's preview of humans as bewildered spectators of both machine failure and machine resolution. Because such factories can generate synthetic demand and, with Poliks and Trillo's *Exocapitalism*, be pure financial objects, human demand stops being the root of production and the human returns as a counterparty with its own dependency inventory — the article's answer to the remainder humanism it finds in AI-layoff remedies. Compare the Autocene and the Noocene.
